The Spinning Barn & Bothy

The Spinning Barn & Bothy are 2 separate bedrooms with shared access, common room, kitchenette and bathroom. The bathroom is also shared with campers.

The Spinning Barn sleeps 4 in traditional dorm-style “book a bunk-bed” accommodation in one beautiful, high-ceilinged room with kitchenette, lounge and shares its facilities with the Bothy and Lake View Camping.

The Bothy is a separate room for 1 or 2 (sofa bed) with Lake view and bedside storage. It is in the same same building as the Spinning Barn and access to the common room, and kitchenette are via a keypad protected door. The shower and toilet facilities are shared with campers.

Access to the Spinning Barn, common room, kitchenette and bathroom is with keypad access. The Bothy bedroom has its own key.

The kitchenette in the Spinning Barn has microwave, fridge, kettle and single ring burner. Recycling and washing up is outside within the camping area.

There are plenty of chairs, tables, sofa and a wooden dresser full of games.

All bedding is provided for you to make up your own bunk – you just need to bring a towel.

We ask that all beds are stripped on departure.

Outside
To the front and rear of the barn you can enjoy stunning 360° views of Ennerdale Valley and Water, the surrounding mountains and valley. Seating areas on the cobbled patio and grassed areas are perfect for an evening drink as the sun sets over the water.

Or make the most of the under cover, open-plan barn to enjoy a barbecue in all types of Lakeland weather.

There is space for parking 2 cars (more by arrangement). You can walk, run or ride a bike directly from the barn onto the peaceful bridleways and forest tracks around Ennerdale Water. Without using your car you can access the surrounding fells of the Ennerdale Horseshoe, with views into Buttermere, Wasdale, and the central fells.

Dogs are welcome! £10 per dog, per night – max. cost per stay per dog is £20.
