Accommodation
The Wild Wool Barn in Ennerdale provides self-catering, hostel-style accommodation. It sleeps 12 plus 6 small tents and is suitable for groups, families and individuals.
The Barn accommodation is split into 3 units + camping:
The Byre (Groups up to 6), Bothy (Room for 2), Spinning Barn (Dorm room for 4) and Campsite can be booked individually or together as a whole site booking for exclusive use. Please contact Susan directly on 01946 861270 or use the contact form for your exclusive use price.
Note: All accommodation is mixed. There are not separate bedrooms nor dorms for different sexes.
Luggage Transfer
If you are completing the Wainwright’s Coast to Coast and wish to use one of the luggage transport companies, please contact them before booking. They can be unpredictable as to whether they are able to transport your luggage. Many walkers who do use them successfully choose to bring a day pack to the Wild Wool Barn and have their main luggage forwarded to the next destination.
Let the supermarket take the strain
All the major supermarkets will deliver to the Wild Wool Barn (minimum charges and delivery slots apply). Please contact me before reserving your slot to confirm that I can receive the order in case you are held up on the day of arrival.
